Thailand: Department of Disease Control outlines emergency response to Coronavirus


Bangkok: The Department of Disease Control has outlined an emergency response to Coronavirus. The drilling consists of 3 phases: The first and second focuses on monitoring, investigation and detection at airports, infection prevention in hospitals and transferring patients to receive treatment at the right time. Meanwhile, the third phase emphasizes outbreak response and control in case of widespread outbreak.\r\nAnyone who has to go to the epidemic areas, especially the at risk groups including person with diabetes, chronic lung disease and kidney failure, should avoid contact with camels and drinking unpasteurized camel milk. Thailand: Thai Pilgrims Get Medical Aid


Bangkok: Thai medical teams in Mecca, Saudi Arabia are available to service Thai pilgrims.The medical unit chief said that the ministry of public health has great concern about the health of Thai pilgrims and their medical car, thus medical teams, nurses, doctors, and medical supplies are prepared to service Thai-Muslim pilgrims at Saudi Arabia in both Medina and Mecca city. \r\nMost illnesses that have been reported include respiratory diseases such as asthma, neurasthenia, and skin disease, and since Mecca is in the construction process and mosques renovation causes smoke and dust to spread around the city.

Thailand: Emergency Drill Programme


Business owners and staff at the Central Festival Pattaya Beach gathered in the giant building on the morning of Friday, 12th September to take part in a one day training programme about dealing with emergencies, should they occur at the mall.  They learnt about teamwork and emergency management procedures such as taking the best decisions in order to safely and quickly evacuate the building of people.   The programme focused on a number of scenarios, such as how to deal with a leaking chemical substance, a bomb scare, and fire incidents.

Thailand: Unlicensed Ambulances Must Register


Unregistered ambulances seized by City traffic police.\r\nOperators of emergency services ambulances must ensure their vehicles are properly licensed with the Metropolitan Police Bureau\'s traffic division, or be subject to legal action, Pol Maj Gen Adul Narongsak, Metropolitan Police deputy chief in charge of the city\'s traffic, warned on 16 December. \r\nPol Maj Gen Adul said many ambulances operating in the city and taking people who are ill or injured to hospital are not licensed, causing safety problems for other road users and for patients.

Thailand: MOPH to Propose Universal Emergency Healthcare Benefit


Nonthaburi: The Ministry of Public Health (MOPH) is preparing to propose the amendment on healthcare benefits, allowing emergency patients to be accepted in all hospitals and healthcare centers, to the cabinet, says the Deputy Minister. The Deputy Minister of Public Health SomsakChunharas, along with the Secretary-General of the National Institute for Emergency Medicine (NIEMS) AnuchaSetasaetien has revealed the outcome of the Emergency Medical Committee (EMC) that the EMC has approved the development of Emergency Medicine in Thailand with the aim of saving the life of patients through free services by all medical institutions.
