Doha: The Qatar Postal Services Company (Q-Post) has signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with the Qatar Red Crescent (QRC) for bilateral support and sponsorship.The one-year agreement was signed by Q-Post Chairman Abdul Rahman Ali Al Aqaily, and QRC Secretary-General Saleh bin Ali Al Mohannadi.
In return, QRC will provide the corporation's staff with hands-on first aid training, informative workshops on the international humanitarian law and the Geneva Conventions, and the opportunity to participate in QRC's annual Disaster Management Camp.
Al Mohannadi explained that QRC's portfolio involves not only ambulance, relief, and humanitarian services, but also training and education of different targeted social categories, such as schoolchildren, employees, and the youth. |
