In an effort to raise awareness among children, adults and families about the necessary guidelines that must be followed in emergency situations, Hamad Medical Corporation (HMC)’s Ambulance Service recently held a week-long campaign under the slogan “Help Us Help You” at Landmark mall.
The campaign featured an educational booth where Ambulance Service staff encouraged visitors to learn about the “Know the 5 to Save a Life” initiative that stresses the five key steps the public should follow when they find themselves in emergencies or life-threatening situations.
The steps to be followed are: call 999 immediately, know your location, answer all the questions as asked, follow as best as possible the instructions given by the communication dispatcher, and give way to ambulances on the road. |
