Dubai: The Dubai Health Authority’s (DHAs) medical education department organised 748 training programs in 2013 and more than 18,569 employees benefitted from these programs, said a top DHA official.
Dr Muhammad Nassif, Director of Medical Education at the DHA said: “The training courses include workshops and conferences in the field of medicine, administration and information technology. These courses are accredited and add value to the job skills of DHA employees."
Among the several courses organised, the life-saver program included several important training courses such as Basic Life Support (BLS) course, advanced cardiac life support (ACLS), Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) and Pediatric Emergency Assessment, Recognition and Stabilization (PEARS). These courses teach participants life-saving skills in times of emergency. |
