Thiruvananthapuram: In what might be a blessing for road mishap victims, HLL Lifecare Limited has launched a new limb immobilisation device that will temporarily immobilise injured limbs in pre-hospital care.
The product, called HiCARE LIMO, was launched in the presence of K Vijay Raghavan, Secretary, Department of Biotechnology (DBT), Union Ministry of Science and Technology; R K Shevgaonkar, Director, IIT-Delhi and M Ayyappan, C&MD, HLL Lifecare Limited at a function held in New Delhi. The simple, disposable and cost-effective device effectively immobilises the lower limbs of the patients for up to 6 hours till definitive care is provided. The device has been developed to address the unmet Indian clinical need in a cost-effective manner. |
