Ahmedabad: Mock drills were carried out by officials of National Disaster Management Teams across several districts — including Gandhinagar, Banaskatha, and Aravalli — on 16 March(Friday). In Ahmedabad itself, the mock drills were held in 5 areas. The areas included Ranip GSRTC bus stand, Shahibaug police line, Reliance mall in Shahibaug, Collector office and Ahmedabad International Airport.
Except for the airport, there were other places where the medical emergency mock drills were also carried out. Teams of task forces, comprising ambulances, disaster management teams, Ahmedabad fire and emergency service, civil defence and police officials, were deployed.
