The annual civil-military disaster preparedness and response initiative between Bangladesh and the United States has begun in Dhaka. The Bangladesh Armed Forces Division and US Army Pacific are jointly hosting the event. “Disaster preparedness is a vital component of national security and we welcome the opportunity to exchange best practices with our Bangladeshi partners,” US Ambassador to Bangladesh Marcia Bernicat said in a statement.
