Thiruvananthapuram: State Police Chief Loknath Behera has said the nationwide emergency response system will soon be implemented in the State. With the mechanism being operationalised, the country will have a unique and single emergency response number ‘112’ for any emergency involving the police, fire force, and ambulance services. \r\n \r\nThe State Police Chief said calls made to the helpline from across the State would be attended at a centralised control room in Thiruvananthapuram, following which the information will be relayed to the station or agency concerned in quick time for action. |
