Visakhapatnam: Elected to the Rajya Sabha from Andhra Pradesh, Union railway minister Suresh Prabhu has sanctioned 13 life-saving ambulances to the state. Each ambulance costs `35 lakh, totalling `4.55 crore, will be provided from his MPLADS fund. The minister also announced that one trauma care centre would come up in the state, health minister Kamineni Srinivas told the media here on Sunday (July 10). \r\nInaugurating a solar hot water plant at the Madhuravada PHC which was donated by MP K Haribabu from his MPLad funds, Srinivas said the lifesaving ambulances would be equipped with most advanced medical tools and location of the proposed trauma care centre would be announced soon. |
