Srinagar: Even as Doctors\' Association of Kashmir (DAK) on Tuesday (July 12) expressed anguish over the absence of trauma facilities in peripheral medical centres in the Valley that had caused loss of lives, the few major Srinagar hospitals witnessed a huge rush of those injured during the clashes that entered the fourth day. It was a sign that all was not well with the peripheral hospitals. \r\nDAK chief, Dr Nisar-ul-Hassan, said lack of facilities in peripheral hospitals is costing lives. \"The peripheral hospitals lack trauma specialists, anaesthetists, blood banks, and intensive care units essential to handle critically injured patients,\" he said.
