Manila: At a recent scientific congress at the University of Makati to celebrate Emergency Medical Services Week, first responders called on Congress to come up with an Emergency Medical Services Bill that would address not only common situations but also mass casualty incidents, such as bioterrorism and chemical warfare. \r\nDr Jeremy Cordero, MD, chief of Emergency Medical Services (EMS) of the Ospital ng Makati, cited figures from the World Health Organization (WHO), noting that in 2015 there were 10,000 road deaths in the Philippines. |
