Bhubaneswar: Police have asked all hospitals, including private healthcare institutions to install GPS-enabled vehicle tracking devices in ambulances. The move is aimed at helping police track the location of ambulances and ensure clear passage for them in emergency scenarios. \r\n
Police have also asked the hospitals to alert the control room (100) or traffic police station (1095) when ambulances leave the hospital to bring patients.
