Nashik: In a first, motorbikes fitted with first-aid kits and sirens would vroom through the narrow lanes of Trimbakeshwar to offer emergency medical help during the upcoming Kumbh Mela. The temple town, about 25 km from Nashik, is gearing up to co-host the mega religious congregation later this month. \r\nUnlike Allahabad and Ujjain, which host Kumbh Mela outside the city and on a wider area, the mega religious event is held in the heart of Nashik and Trimbakeshwar. The narrow roads of Trimbakeshwar would make it difficult for four wheelers and regular ambulances to reach the spot in case of an emergency, officials said. |
