Hubbell: The First Responder Bike Ambulance facility, part of the 108 ambulance service, was launched by the Food and Civil Supplies and district in-charge Minister Dinesh Gunderson here on May 15. The 220cc bike modified to function as a first response unit is meant for patients residing in narrow lanes and difficult terrain, where the regular ambulance will not be able to reach.
It will be operated by a staff nurse cum pilot who will rush to the spot to provide first aid to the needy patient and the 108 regular ambulance will follow the bike ambulance. |
