United Arab Emirates: Tracking System for Ambulances


Dubai Corporation for Ambulance Services has launched the Asset Tracking System to track down its vehicles in various parts of Dubai. The move is part of the framework of a shift to the smart system, and also to boost field efficiency.\r\nThis system, one of the latest being used in the world, allows to track the movement of ambulances 24 hours a day. It also provides, in a fraction of a second, several kinds of data and statistics which used to take days in the past to obtain.

United Arab Emirates: New Drivers to Receive First Aid Training


Dubai: New drivers who are applying for a driving licence in Dubai will have to participate in first aid and emergency training.\r\nThe RTA have said that they are keen on introducing the latest technologies to make life easier for residents in the city. They are incorporating first aid and emergency response training to the driving curriculum as the number of accidents behind the wheel such as heart attacks increases.

United Arab Emirates: National Ambulance Mobile App Used for First Time


Abu Dhabi: Just a week after its launch, the National Ambulance 998 mobile application was used successfully for the first time in response to an emergency medical situation in the northern emirates. A passer-by used the app to contact the National Ambulance, which immediately dispatched a crew to the scene using the GPS locator integrated within the app via the witness’ smartphone.\r\nThe team treated a man for trauma at the site before transporting him to the emirate’s Al Dhaid Hospital.

Dubai: Did you know that you can request for ambulances through an app? In the UAE, some of the popular emergency apps, residents should be aware of, include the National Ambulance app 998, in addition to Dubai Ambulance’s app Olem and Same’e.\r\nNational Ambulance earlier this month launched a mobile app for residents in the Northern Emirates, providing them with the facility to request for an ambulance without any hassle.
