	Manila: Rain Or Shine coach Yeng Guiao, acting as Congressman from Pampanga, has filed House Bill No. 5891 to include basic CPR (cardio pulmonary resuscitation) training as a requirement for high school graduation and said on July 07, he will propose to call it the Samboy Lim Law.\r\n“Samboy is the inspiration of this bill,” Guiao told The Star on July 07. “I spoke with Alvin (Patrimonio) who was in the gym when Samboy suffered cardiac arrest and asked if CRP was administered. 	Philippines: Virac Ferry Faces MARINA Suit for Refusing to Load Ambulance
	The Maritime Industry Authority regional office has ordered the owner of the Tabaco-Virac ferry M/V Eugene Elson to explain why it refused to load and rejected an ambulance carrying a trauma patient last month.\r\nIn an order issued last June 25, MARINA regional director Engr. Jaime Bea directed the Peñafrancia Shipping Corporation based in Pili, Camarines Sur to explain and show cause in writing within 10 days from receipt why its Certificate of Public Convenience (CPC) should not be suspended or revoked or why fines and penalties should not be imposed against it for the alleged violation.

	Manila: Some 7 million people are expected to participate in Thursday’s(July 30) metro-wide quake drill, for which the Metropolitan Manila Development Authority (MMDA) firmed up preparations in its last meeting with business groups, state agencies and 17 local government units in the metropolis, and the diplomatic corps.\r\nJojo Soliman, CEO of Pure Force and Rescue Corporation, a provider of emergency response and rescue solutions in the country,said they developed the system together with a mobile personal emergency response app for smart phones that subscribers can tap during emergencies.
