Pakistan: Mock Exercise Held at Mari Pattan


Faisalabad: Punjab Emergency Services (Rescue 1122) in collaboration with other departments including police, health department, civil defence, arranged mock exercise at Mari Pattan at Ravi River to evaluate response during monsoon downpour, flood days.Assistant Commissioner Tandlianwala Abdur Razzaq Dogar supervised the exercise in which the teams of Rescue 1122 and other emergency departments rushed to the spot and conducted mock rescue operation to save lives and properties of flood-stricken people.

Pakistan: Mayor Opens ChildrenĄ¯s Emergency


Karachi: City Mayor Wasim Akhtar inaugurated the Children Emergency Block at Abbasi Shaheed Hospital on Saturday. The block has been established in collaboration with the Child Life Foundation. On The mayor said that this children emergency block will prove to be a good facility in the hospital to provide better medical facilities to patients.

Pakistan: 4 Trauma Centers to Be Established in KP Soon


Islamabad: In Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP), four Trauma centres will be established along the route of China Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC).A spokesman of provincial government talking to Radio Pakistan informed that concerned authorities have been directed to identify sites for construction of these centers right from Hazara to Dera Ismail Khan.

Pakistan: KP to Develop Multi-Sector Health Emergency Plan


Peshawar: Khyber Pakhtunkhwa is going to be the first province in Pakistan to develop a permanent \'multi-sector outbreak plan\' providing for tickling any and every health emergency and the outbreak of any epidemic disease in any part of the province.The Plan is being finalized in a 2-day workshop organized with the help and guidance of Public Health England opened 10 July (Tuesday) in Islamabad. Pakistan: Closure of Health Emergency Services Feared as ECP Summons Doctors, Paramedics for Duties


Karachi: Health authorities in Karachi have warned that services at Emergency and Out-Patient Departments (OPDs) of many hospitals in the city would not be available on Election Day after the Election Commission of Pakistan has summoned more than 1,500 staff of over 83 hospitals for election duties.Medical staff are generally not sought for election duties as they are required to serve at health facilities in case of emergencies on national days, holidays and even during elections, but this year, hundreds of doctors, paramedics and nurses have been summoned to perform election duties instead of treating patients, health officials told The New
