	Lahore: The city police are automating callers’ information and starting the use of smart phones to track their patrolling staff in a bid to improve response time of the 15 helpline service, The Express Tribune has learnt. The automation of the callers’ information at the police 15 helpline is underway. The patrolling staff will be equipped with smart phones in the second phase of the project which is a joint venture of the city police and the Chief Minister’s Special Monitoring Unit.A Public Service Answering Point (PSAP) will eventually be established to centralise police 15 and Rescue 1122 emergency services in the city.S

	Pakistan: Govt to Provide Basic Facilities at People��s Door Steps in Hazro
	Attok: Provincial Home Minister Col (Retd) Shuja Khanzada has said that health and rescue facilities would be provided to people at their door steps. He said this after laying foundation stone of Rescue 1122 building at Hazro which will cost Rs130 million. He said that initially 2 ambulances, a fire brigade vehicle, staff of 32 personnel and other related equipment will be provided. He said that this service in Hazro tehsil will prove helpful in providing timely first aid to people of the area.

	Pakistan: Aman Ambulance to Provide Emergency Medical Services in Rural Sindh
	Karachi:AmanAmbulance has signed a historic agreement to provide Ambulatory care in rural Sindh. A 5-year agreement was signed between Aman Health Care Services (AHCS) and the Government of Sindh to expand Aman Ambulance’s award-winning Emergency Medical Services (EMS) across the province of Sindh.The signing ceremony was held at Chief Minister House,where Dr Saadia Quraishy, CEO for Aman Health, signed the agreement on behalf of Aman Health. Sindh’s Special Secretary for Health, Dr Khalid Shaikh signed on behalf of the Sindh government in the presence of Sindh’s Chief Minister, Qaim Ali Shah.

	Pakistan: Motorway Police Starts First-Aid Refresher
	Islamabad: National Highways and Motorway Police (NH&MP) on 10 April commenced 2 weeks first-aid refresher course programme for patrolling officers. Motorway Police officers are the first respondents at highways and motorways in case of accident.The purpose of this course is to prepare the officers to provide immediate medical assistance to the injured passengers in case of any untoward incident. For this purpose, ambulance service on M-4 and IMDC has already been made operational. 	Pakistan: Rescue 1122 Starts Capacity Building of Emergency Response Team
	Rawalpindi: The Rescue 1122 Rawalpindi has completed training of Community Emergency Response Team (CERT) Group-One, registered at Pir Wadhai station.While addressing the participants of the training course, Course Monitor and Rescue 1122 Rawalpindi District Emergency Officer Dr Abdur Rehman communicated the message of Director General Dr Rizwan Naseer to volunteers that although an effective emergency management system in Punjab had been established, the participation of organised and trained communities could play a vital role for building safer Pakistan.
