	Khyber: Pakhtunkhwa Minister for Health Shaukat Ali Yousafzai has strictly directed the high officers of the health department to ensure provision of free emergency services to patients in the public sector hospitals. He also directed to immediately start MRI, CT Scan and other machinery for the provision of services to patients on concessional rates as announced by the government. 	Pakistan: Dr Aurakzai Made DG Health Services
	Islamabad: Dr. Jehanzeb Aurakzai on July 18 Thursday assumed the charge of the director general at the Ministry of National Health Services, Regulation and Coordination. Before his appointment, Dr. Aurakzai remained director general at the National Health Emergency Preparedness and Response Centre, project director at the Federal Medical and Dental College, director at the National Institute for Rehabilitation Medicine and joint executive director at the Pakistan Institute of Medical Sciences.

	Pakistan: Ministry Orders Snakebite Vaccine on Emergency Basis
	Islamabad: The ministry of national health services, regulations and co-ordination on July 25 Thursday announced to expedite production of anti-snake vaccine and pledged to supply the same to the country’s hospitals by September this year. According to a spokesman of the ministry, the decision was taken in response to a news item published in The News on July 24 Wednesday, which stated that NIH is supplying ineffective non-registered anti-snake vaccine threatening the lives of thousands of snakebite victims.
