Karachi: The current budget for health was increased by 20 percent with an amount of Rs56.6 billion allocated for it, out of which Rs43.6 billion are for current expenditure and Rs13.2 billion earmarked for development.
It was said that an ambulance service equipped with ventilators will be established in all districts of Sindh at cost of Rs1.5 billion. Currently no state-run ambulance service is operational in Sindh.A new out-patient complex will be built at the civil hospital at a cost of Rs6.2 billion and a 400-bed hospital will be built at NIPA Chowrangi at a cost of Rs1.7 billion. |
