Kolhapur: Members of the Maharashtra State Association of Gazetted Medical Officers (Magmo) have threatened to go on an indefinite strike across the state from June 2 demanding absorption of contractual practitioners, non-practising allowance, performance-based promotion and payment of salary arrears in accordance with the Sixth Pay Commission.
Rural healthcare, particularly services such as surgery, delivery, post-mortem and emergency treatment at primary health centres, sub-centres and village and district hospitals, might be affected if the officers stay away from work. |
