Kathmandu: The Confederation of Nepalese Industries (CNI) and National Society for Earthquake Technology-Nepal (NSET) signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) here on April 25 to collaborate efforts to generate awareness among people, communities and institutions and build capacity of rescue teams in a bid to minimise the devastation caused by earthquakes on human lives and property.
As per the MoU, both parties have agreed to provide training to emergency rescue teams, enhance their capabilities, conduct awareness programmes aimed at the general mass for their safety, and construct earthquake-resistant buildings, along with organising a media campaign for the benefit of people, among others. |
