New Delhi: More than 5 years after its completion, the Emergency and Trauma Centre at Bir Hospital is finally coming into operation,
Officials at the Indian Ministry of Foreign Affairs said the facility built with the assistance of Indian government will soon be handed over to Nepal after the centre has been furbished and outfitted with necessary amenities and equipment. Abhay Thakur, joint secretary at the Nepal-Bhutan desk, said both governments of India and Nepal are eager to commence the centre, and to that end, they are carrying out necessary preparations.
The work should get completed by June, Dr Ashok Bajracharya, director of the centre, said. He added that the Indian government is also installing all the necessary equipment for the centre. |
