More than 66,000 health-care and medical students will benefit from the Innovative Learning Centre established at the Hong Kong Academy of Medicine.
Academy president Donald Li Kwok-tung said the high-end facilities in the center can serve different purposes during training and will benefit not only the academy but also Hospital Authority doctors and rescue teams from the Fire Service Department.
Kwong Wah Hospital's chief of service and accident and emergency consultant Tung Wai-kit said the models used in the training will enable students to learn surgery procedures before performing them on patients."The models and equipment weigh the same as in real-life situations, which will better prepare the students," he said. |
