Lagawe, Ifugao: The Philippine Red Cross (PRC) in the province has launched its 3-year community based disaster risk reduction project last February 8 Saturday here.
The launching of the project, known as Empowering Communities and Government Institutions to Replicate and Consolidate Inclusive Community Based Disaster Risk Reduction, was attended by PRC volunteers, provincial and municipal officials of the two pilot towns.
By the end of the project, 85% of the directly targeted households can at least correctly identify relevant natural hazards, climate change risks, and potential disaster impact and explain the implications of the disaster risk reduction management (DRRM) law to their community. |
