Chinese Foreign Ministry and Chinese embassy in Zambia have launched emergency measures to provide assistance for victims following an attack on a Chinese firm in Zambia, a Foreign Ministry spokeswoman said on February 14 Friday.
One Chinese worker died and 6 others were injured when armed gunmen attacked a Chinese firm in Lusaka, the Zambian capital, embassy officials said on February 13.
The embassy invited a Chinese assistance group of military surgeons and medical experts in Zambia to join the rescue work and called for Chinese nationals to donate blood for those with severe injuries, according to Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Hua Chunying. |
