A thorough emergency management preparedness class is available for anyone who wants to learn more about preparing for and responding to emergencies.
The class is being put on through Webster County CERT, or Community Emergency Response Team, and those who attend can choose to join CERT if interested, or just take the class for personal knowledge.
The class will be from 6 to 9 p.m. Friday, April 26; 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday, April 27; and 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday, May 4. It will be at the Webster County 911 Center. The class will cover topics such as the CERT organization and how it fits into the county, light fire suppression, light search and rescue, first aid, disaster psychology and hazmat situations. |
