Kidapawan City: over 200 student leaders from different high schools and colleges in this province particularly in the 1st district recently participated in a 3-day youth responders training tagged as ‘Bantay Kalamidad, Sagip Buhay’.
The event, held at the Dilangalen National High School in Midsayap town was aimed at sharing to the youth the knowledge on environmental protection and disaster preparedness.
“The youths, especially when trained, can do better in times when natural and man-made calamities hit our place,” Provincial Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office (PDRRMO) center head Cynthia Ortega said. |
