Tawam Hospital, in affiliation with Johns Hopkins Medicine and part of the SEHA healthcare system, together with Emirates Society of Emergency Medicines announced on January 20 its first Emergency Cardiology and Critical Care Course. Starting from January 23 to 25, 2014 at the Rotana Al Ain Hotel, the course is designed for physicians, nurses, allied health workers and students and will provide the latest information, training and best-practices in the areas of emergency cardiology and critical care.
Among the topics being covered are coronary disease in the elderly, cardiac arrest and post-arrest care, modern management of cardiogenic pulmonary oedema, deadly allergies and anaphylaxis, fluid resuscitation and sepsis. Additional workshops on the course will help to deliver practical advice and training to complement the theoretical sessions, simulating possible cardiology scenarios in the emergency department. |
