Hospital on Taiping Island Offers Help Regardless of Nationality


Taipei: Dec. 3 (CNA) A hospital on the largest island of the Spratly island chain in the South China Sea is prepared to offer emergency medical services to foreign as well as Taiwanese fishermen operating in the area, Taiwan's Coast Guard Administration (CGA) said on December 03 Tuesday.

Nansha Hospital even has placards written in Tagalog and Vietnamese in case sailors who need medical help cannot speak English or Chinese, said military physician Huang Hsin-hung, who made the comments through the CGA.
