Quezon City: The emergency field clinic that was set up in Camp Aguinaldo November 22 is moved to Villamor Air Base in Pasay City November 23. Department of Health – National Capital Region (DOH-NCR) Director Eduardo C. Janairo explained that the transfer was made for the immediate and more comprehensive medical assessment of the incoming internally displaced persons (IDPs) from the typhoon ravaged areas.
“There will be a massive increase in the number of IDPs arriving in Metro Manila aboard C-130 planes that is why all activities in Camp Aguinaldo will revert back to Villamor Airbase. This way we can provide medical care directly on the spot once they arrive in the airport,” Director Janairo stated. |
