Alfonso Lista: More than 20 emergency responders from various offices in this municipality were trained on mountain search and rescue recently.
The 5-day event was conducted by the Municipal Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council (MDRRMC) in coordination with the Ifugao Provincial Police Office (IPPO) who provided the trainers led by Police Inspector Jeffrey Vicente. Participants were trained on Basic Life Support (BLS) and first aid, knot tying and management of rope, basic water search and rescue and other related topics. They applied the learned theories during the rigid individual demonstration.
Mayor Glen Prudenciano said that the conduct of the training is to provide the trainees the knowledge and skills needed to respond in times of emergencies. |
