In order to bolster rescue operations and disaster reduction efforts, three Speed Boats and 40 Fiber Boats have been given to Rakhine State, according to the Rakhine State Disaster Management Department.
The aforementioned motorized boats was purchased with World Bank’s loan to the respective States and Regions by the government. The UNOPS and expats from relevant organizations conducted test drives of those boats on 17 July. .
