Lucknow: Chief Minister Akhilesh Yadav on July 23 Tuesday issued directions to start the 108 ambulance service for Army officers, personnel as well as ex-servicemen and their family members. Currently, under the said service, a beneficiary is transported to the nearest community health centre or the government hospital. The service is being provided on the request made by the Army officials.
A statement issued by CM office said Brigadier Pravin Kumar has requested for 108 ambulance service for serving and retired personnel of the armed forces and their dependents from the place of accident to nearest military hospitals in 11 districts.
These districts are Varanasi, Faizabad, Allahabad, Meerut, Bareilly, Agra, Mathura, Base Hospital (Lucknow), Air Force Hospital Kanpur, Gorakhpur and Fatehgarh. |
