The Road Transport Department (JPJ) will be ramping up enforcement against emergency lane abusers, according to a report in The Sun. The department is also continuing its zero tolerance policy against queue jumpers in heavy traffic, said JPJ enforcement director Datuk Valluvan Veloo.
\r\n“We are also welcoming public feedback. In fact, complaints on emergency lane offenders are close to 80% for the total number of public complaints on traffic matters that we have received in the past few months,” he said. Operations included static and mobile JPJ patrol teams at four locations – the Kesas Highway, Elite Highway, Federal Highway and Jalan Istana in Kuala Lumpur. |
