Tirupati: In a bid to effectively utilise the ‘Golden Hour’ for saving the lives of victims involved in accidents, be it road, industrial or other types, Sri Venkateswara Institute of Medical Sciences (SVIMS) in Tirupati has proposed to set-up as many as hundred trauma bays or resuscitation bays across Rayalaseema districts.
\r\nThe trauma bays will be on the model of Trauma Bay and Emergency Resuscitation Bay set up at SVIMS in August in collaboration with US-based PanAmerican Trauma Society. The proposed trauma bays will be low cost modules to be developed with available resources in the government hospitals and Primary Health Centres. |
