Beijing: China has successfully held its first comprehensive nuclear security emergency drill as the country embarks on a major expansion of nuclear power, a civilian ministry has said. \r\nCode-named as “Fengbao-2016,” the drill was held to test and improve China’s security-incident response mechanism, said the State Administration of Science, Technology and Industry for National Defence. The drill, which was neither scripted nor had a pre-planned result, tested the effectiveness of the nuclear security system, the administration said. |
