Magen David Adom has, via global positioning systems (GPS), made it possible for those who call for an ambulance to follow with a cellular phone its movements until arrival. MDA said it was the “first ambulance service in the world” to offer such a thing and called it a “breakthrough.” \r\nThe service will be available free and be updated in real time. A link will be sent to the phone that can be clicked to show a map and the location of the ambulance, from the moment it leaves the station until it reaches its destination. |
