Mumbai: With an aim to reduce mortality and morbidity rates in an emergency by 20 per cent by providing first aid and stabilising the situation of the accident victims till an ambulance arrives, the Maharashtra government, through National Health Mission, will soon launch 10 bike ambulances in the state. \r\nThe 10 bike ambulances will be launched in 4 big cities on pilot basis under corporate social responsibility component. The tender was issued by State Health Society (SHS), Maharashtra/National Health Mission, and Mumbai on March 18 to select lowest bidder to operate bike ambulances. The bid will be opened on April 22. |
