Islamabad: National Disaster Management Authority (NDMA) with its quick response and enhanced relief operations during the recent floods and in emergent situation has won praise of the United Nations as the world body has called NDMA a world class institution. \r\nRecently the UN Office for Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (OCHA) lauded efforts of Pakistan’s National Disaster Management Authority (NDMA), saying that the disaster management authority of Pakistan has developed into a world class institution. The NDMA has developed into a world class institution over the last decade, incorporating international best practice,” said John Ging, head of operation of OCHA in a statement. |
