Lucknow: Taking a cue from the emergency response system (ERS) 911 in the United States, India\'s largest centralised Dial 100 police control call centre, coming up in Lucknow, will attend to fire and health related emergency services as well. Until now, the centre only offers police assistance. \r\nA panel of top officials from UP home and police departments, back from a 14-day tour to study the functioning of 911 services in San Francisco, Austin and Brooklyn, will give final shape to the design and functioning of the centralised police control call centre. |
