Muscat: Ensuring the safety of visitors to the KhareefSalalah Festival, the Ministry of Tourism (MoT) has tied up with a company specialising in safety operations to prevent untoward events during the festival at Al Mughsail and Dahariz beaches that witness high waves. \r\nThe company, Shatti Al Arab Tourism Company, has appointed a 16-member team of highly trained beach guards to monitor the two beaches which are frequented by Khareef visitors. Most of the team members are Omani youths, who are from Dhofar Governorate. The guards are proficient in three languages, which ensures that awareness and precautionary information and tips reach the maximum number of visitors. |
