Kochi: Like Kozhikode, Bengaluru and other cities in the country, Kochi will have a motorbike ambulance system, starting next week.In Kochi, the venture is a private initiative while in Kozhikode it is operated by both a private hospital and also by ANGELS, an ambulance network agency. \r\nCalled the first responder service\', the motorbike ambulance will be launched formally on July 24 at the Aster Medcity.Hospital authorities said that a customised motorcycle fully equipped with all life-saving equipment and medications will be operated by highly skilled emergency medicine technician (EMT), who can come quickly to the accident spot and provide emergency care. |
