2 City-Owned Hospitals Get New Ambulances

The Lapu-Lapu City Government turned over an ambulance each to 2 City-owned hospitals on April 14. The City spent around P1.8 million for the two Mitsubishi L300 vehicles, which will be used by the City Hospital in the mainland and the Sta. Rosa Community Hospital in Olango Island.

Dr. Bolivar Miñoza, head of the City Hospital, said that they had to rely on the fire department and private organizations to transport patients.  “Our existing ambulance, which is 10 years old, is no longer in running condition. When we asked the mayor to give us a new one, she  immediately gave us one,” he told on April 14.

Each vehicle is equipped with emergency kits, including stretchers, oxygen tanks, and dextrose bags.
