Chandigarh: Soon, government hospitals countrywide will enable faster consultation at emergencies. This will be possible by PGI GI liver app an Android and iOS-based application developed by Dr Usha Dutta from department of gastroenterology. After a successful development of the app five months ago, PGI had conducted a trial on its successful working. Based on this, the Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR) has asked PGI to extend its functioning for all other medical emergencies. A copyright application has been filed for the app.
The app enables easy diagnosis, management and treatment of 15 common emergency liver and gastroenterology diseases. |
