Panaji: The 108 emergency services operated by GVK Emergency Management and Research Institute (EMRI) continued to be affected on day 2 as well, as more than half of its ambulances remained grounded. The EMRI has 32 ambulances including 3 under repairs.
On 22 March morning, EMRI management discovered that tyres of 11 ambulances parked outside its office in the premises of the Goa Medical College (GMC) and hospital, Bambolim, were deflated and their fuel tanks emptied. Ambulances in Ponda and Sanvordem were similarly affected. |
