SAF Enhances Training Evacuation System with Emergency Ambulance Service

Singapore: The Singapore Armed Forces (SAF) introduced the SAF Emergency Ambulance Service (EAS), which will provide more direct evacuation of serious casualties at training areas outside SAF camps to the nearest restructured hospital.
\r\n

In a press release on 28 January, the SAF said the EAS, introduced on January 19, will be used to enhance the existing Emergency Medical Support System.
\r\n

Before January 19, serious casualties at training areas outside SAF camps would have been evacuated by 2 modes under the Emergency Medical Support System: By a safety vehicle to the nearest medical facility before the SAF ambulance conveys the person to the nearest restructured hospital, or by the on-site SAF ambulance directly to the nearest restructured hospital.
