Home Minister Ramesh Chennithala on September 17 launched two ambulances in the city to help render speedy assistance to accident victims. Mr. Chennithala flagged off the ambulances at a function held at the City Police Commissioner’s office. \r\nThe ambulances, one from the existing fleet of the city police and another that has been newly procured, would be a supplement to the ‘108’ ambulance service. \r\nHowever, the newly inducted service would be confined to the city limits, said a police officer. |
