Cambodia: China to Deliver 200 Ambulances to Cambodia for Healthsector Development

Cambodia: Singapore, Cambodia Hospitals Expand Training Programme


Siem Reap: Cambodia\'s biggest public hospital has a strong Singapore connection. For 3 years, Tan Tock Seng Hospital has worked with Calmette Hospital in Phnom Penh to train Cambodian doctors    and nurses on trauma care and resuscitation.\r\nPresident Tony Tan Keng Yam on 10 January had a glimpse of the fruits of this partnership when he paid a visit to Calmette Hospital.

Chinese drivers should know what to do after hearing a siren, says an article in Beijing News. Excerpts: A critically ill patient died in an ambulance on way to a hospital in Beijing recently because only a handful of vehicles made way for it to pass by. China: China Red Cross Society Supports Ghana Red Cross

China: Legislation May Help Speed Ambulance Journeys


Beijing legislature is working on the fifth draft of the legislation on first aid, the Beijing News reported on Thursday. In an attempt to help guarantee ambulances right of way, the legislature is considering exempting first aid workers from legal responsibility if an ambulance carrying a patient in a critical condition scrapes a car on its way to hospital. The government is also planning to train healthcare workers at a grassroots level so they can provide first aid to patients in the neighborhood when heavy traffic delays ambulances.
