Srinagar: Minister for Health and Medical Education Ch Lal Singh on May 07 said the government is taking various steps for revival of health sector in the state which includes deployment of manpower in remote areas and procurement of ASL (Advanced Life Support System) ambulances.Various decisions were taken in the meeting for further improvement of healthcare sector in the state.Ch. India: 108 Ambulance Staff Demand Pay Hike, to Go On Strike


Hyderabad: The 108 emergency ambulance service will not be available from May 07 midnight! At least, 1800 employees of the service gave a strike notice to the GVK Emergency Management Research Institute (EMRI)’s management about 20 days back, demanding pay hike. With no response forthcoming, the strike appears imminent.“We have come up with 15 demands at the outset and have expressed readiness to compromise on many of them. India: Noida Police Vehicles to be equipped with High Quality First Aid Kits


Noida: Noida police will be able to provide immediate care to road accident victims even before ambulance reaches the spot, as police vehicles will now be equipped with high quality first aid kits and neck collars.“These medical kits will help the police in providing medical attention to accident victims. Most of the police personnel have already been trained to tackle medical emergency as they are the first responders. India: MHA to Set-up National Emergency Response System, Invited Bids


New Delhi: The Union Home Ministry has decided to launch a nation-wide unique and single emergency response number which can be used in case of any emergency, especially by women in distress. India: Hubballi Gets Bike Ambulance


Hubbell: The First Responder Bike Ambulance facility, part of the 108 ambulance service, was launched by the Food and Civil Supplies and district in-charge Minister Dinesh Gunderson here on May 15. The 220cc bike modified to function as a first response unit is meant for patients residing in narrow lanes and difficult terrain, where the regular ambulance will not be able to reach.It will be operated by a staff nurse cum pilot who will rush to the spot to provide first aid to the needy patient and the 108 regular ambulance will follow the bike ambulance.
